Your Role at Impact Tech Inc

  • As a BI Engineer at Impact Tech Inc, you will deliver reporting, dashboarding and other data features within our SaaS product.
  • You will build on your SQL and Data Analytics skill set, becoming an expert in our reporting and dashboarding technologies.
  • You will develop a strong understanding of our data model, and build industry expertise with web and marketing data.
  • You will build highly-visible features that are integral to the success of our product. As such you will have a strong emphasis on ensuring product features are highly performant, and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test and maintain SQL-Based Reporting Features for the Platform.
  • Perform meaningful testings for the features built.
  • Collaborate with a distributed team to fulfill the department's quarterly objectives.
  • Develop code both independently and while pair programming.
  • Write and maintain design, user and test documentation.
  • Learn the Impact Reporting Tools.
  • Learn the Impact Databases (which data is where, and how to find out how).
  • Learn best practices for creating well-performing SQL within the Impact data platform.
  • Perform triage activities through verification and fixing of bugs.
  • Build customer-facing code with oversight.
  • Support software testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Assist with quality management and continuous improvement efforts within the company.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of professional experience.
  • Must have experience with SQL. Experience with Distributed SQL is a nice-to-have.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, MS Degree Preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Initiative.

  • Must be a fast learner and have a positive can-do attitude.
  • Desire to work with Big Data and surrounding Technologies.
  • Good knowledge of quality management and continuous improvement.
