Staff Nurse Critical Care Services Medical ICU

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Critical Care Services team at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with colleagues to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, plan, and intervene in actual or potential health problems to achieve patient goals and improve health outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs and preferences of each patient.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health literacy and self-management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey required.
- BSN preferred. Adult Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
- ACLS and BLS required. Must maintain valid certification by the American Heart Association in basic life support (BLS).
- Ability to employ problem-solving techniques and critical thinking.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients with/without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to organize care/activities of multiple patients.
