Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Lead Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for managing the quality of externally supplied materials, collaborating with internal engineering and external suppliers, and performing root cause analysis to resolve supplier non-conformance issues.
Key Responsibilities- Manage supplier non-conformances and issue Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR)
- Collaborate with internal engineering and external suppliers to determine design feasibility for manufacturability
- Perform root cause analysis for supplier non-conformance issues
- Audit current suppliers to evaluate risk and monitor changes in management, key personnel, and process changes
- Support the development of new and existing suppliers by improving their quality management systems
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or other technical engineering degree
- 4+ years of supplier quality or inspection related work experience
- Work experience with steel fabrication, pressure vessels, plastic injection molding, oil and gas, or water treatment systems, and/or electromechanical assembly processes
- Knowledge of QRQC, Lean Six Sigma, DOE, Deming Cycle, FMEA, 8D, APQP, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, etc.
