Job Title: Mission Management Software Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mission Management Software Integration Engineer to join our team at Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of onboard mission management software, ensuring its integration with larger mission systems, and managing software requirements and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and manage software requirements, including technical and quality reviews of subcontractor software requirements
  • Participate in the execution of DO-178 processes for subsystem software development, certification, and fielding
  • Integrate subsystem software into larger mission systems
  • Develop subsystem test plans and procedures for subsystem acceptance testing, functional testing, integration testing, and formal verification testing
  • Install subcontractor software in the systems integration laboratory
  • Perform test procedures, document results, perform data analyses, and author test reports
  • Track and manage subsystem software deficiencies and other trouble reports
  • Oversee subcontractor correction of software deficiencies
  • Review all subcontractor software documentation, software source code, and executables
  • Provide software support to flight test teams
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • At least 3 years of work experience in aerospace software integration, with at least 5 years of experience preferred
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance
