Position Overview:
As a Residential Support Team Leader, you will oversee the daily operations of assigned residential facilities, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment for both staff and residents. Your role will include direct supervision of multiple team members, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that promotes excellence in care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the operations of residential homes/facilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of Direct Support Staff
- Engage in hands-on support within the residential setting
- Address employee concerns and conduct performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with training requirements and participation in necessary events
- Provide after-hours and on-call support as part of the care team
- Monitor and offer constructive feedback on staff interactions with residents
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents
- Assist in implementing services and supports aligned with individual goals as outlined in Personal Support Plans
- Fulfill the duties of a Direct Support Professional as needed
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
- High School Diploma or G.E.D required; Associate Degree in a health-related field or two years of relevant experience preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
- Flexibility in schedule and availability for on-call duties
- Certification in CPR required
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
- Valid driver's license is necessary
- Certifications in CPR, first aid, NCI, and/or MedTech are advantageous
- Comprehensive criminal background check
- Verification against registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
- Drug testing
- Verification of educational credentials and other qualifications as per position requirements
- Proof of employment history or references (if applicable)
- For positions requiring driving, proof of driver's license, insurance, and vehicle is necessary
