About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Controls Systems Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our Western Region team, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and operating complex building control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and configure building control systems to meet project requirements
  • Develop and test software programs to operate the system
  • Coordinate the creation of vital drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation
  • Select, order, and supervise the delivery of materials for assigned projects
  • Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers
  • Provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software
  • Keep management and JCI contractor or customer advised of job progress and issues
  • Assist in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system
Requirements
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in a related technical field
  • Proven knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems
  • Proven experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols
  • Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience
  • Proven advanced computer skills, particularly computer-related drafting tools
