About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Routine Maintenance Tasks: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on hotel equipment, fixtures, and appliances to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve maintenance-related problems in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Complete Special Projects: Participate in capital improvement projects, renovations, and other special initiatives to enhance the overall guest experience and maintain the hotel's physical assets.
  • Maintain a Safe Working Environment: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries, and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other departments, including housekeeping, engineering, and management, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
  • Building Trade License/Certificate: Possession of a valid building trade license or certificate from the state of operation is preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with guests, management, and colleagues to ensure understanding and resolve issues promptly.
  • Minimum 2 Years' Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in a commercial maintenance or building trade role is required.
  • Basic Working Knowledge: Familiarity with building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration equipment, as well as health codes, plumbing codes, and other relevant regulations.
