Automotive Systems Engineer

Job Summary:
EPITEC is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of on-board diagnostic solutions for powertrain technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver Reliability and Robustness Documentation (DFMEA, P-Diagrams, Boundary Diagrams, Calibration Guidelines, Diagnostics Operations Summary, Fault Demonstration Methods)
- Perform diagnostic routines, report findings and give recommendations to improve system reliability and durability
- Perform HIL/SIL, on-road, emissions, and/or dynamometer data collection to validate and calibrate diagnostic monitoring capability of new powertrain technologies
- Identify and aid in resolving OBD issues with internal and external stakeholders
- Author scripts using Matlab, Python, and/or other scripting languages to analyze system/diagnostic behavior and support the calibration process
Requirements:
- 1 year minimum experience in automotive product development
- BSEE, BSME and/or BS-Computer Science/Engineering
- Must have either electric vehicle or hybrid experience
Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of product development system engineering principles
- Working knowledge of basic combustion engine operating principles
- Understanding basic principles of controls engineering
- Knowledge of OBD regulations (EPA and CARB)
- Experience with calibration development tools
