Job Summary:
The Sycuan Casino is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Golf Resort Security Officer to join our team. As a Golf Resort Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing security services to our guests and personnel, and coordinating vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides guest service by assisting internal and external guests with questions and directions, responding to medical aides, contacting additional resources as needed, and documenting medical incidents.
- Maintains adherence to specified safety and access policies by identifying security and safety risks, reporting risks, discouraging panhandling, loitering and sleeping on property, and physically subduing disruptive guests if necessary according to established procedures.
- Maintains security of parking lots and exterior property by patrolling parking lots, reporting suspicious activity to Tribal Police personnel, and providing a written account of security-related activities.
- Protects Sycuan assets and personnel by escorting personnel transporting monies and other valuable assets.
- Provides written account of security-related activities by documenting incidents in and around resort, and preparing reports on criminal activities for law enforcement agencies.
- Ensures smooth flow of vehicular traffic in and around parking lots by directing traffic to appropriate parking or holding areas, coordinating concert bus and special event traffic on and off premises, providing jump-starts, and authorizing towing/removal of vehicles parked in violation of parking policy.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Guest service experience.
- CA Drivers License in good standing.
- Civilian traffic control certificate (desirable).
- Experience planning and directing traffic flow (desirable).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of security and patrol procedures.
- Ability to evaluate unusual situations and make sound judgments.
- Ability to appear for work on time.
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
- Ability to compose written documents in the English language.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism.
- Ability to walk and stand for up to eight hours at a time.
- Ability to bend and stoop.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
