Job Summary

Fayette Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a PRN Certified Medication Aide to provide routine medication administration and personal care for residents. The successful candidate will work effectively with team members to ensure quality care is delivered while managing available resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication according to physician's orders and state/federal regulations.
  • Display knowledge of medication side effects, interactions, and nursing implications.
  • Account for controlled drugs and report discrepancies.
  • Chart routine medications, omissions, and PRN medication given.
  • Maintain medication inventory and prepare monthly records.
  • Provide personal care and treatment functions for residents.
  • Perform basic nursing care functions as required.
  • Create a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Maintain resident documentation records.
  • Attend training and educational programs to maintain certification.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
  • Certification as a CMA in the State of Maryland.
  • Understanding of medication administration procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Understanding of resident care procedures and standards.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.
