As a Component Repair Technician at GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation, you will be engaged in the maintenance and restoration of customer-owned engine ignition components, including harnesses, ignition leads, exciters, and speed sensors.

In this role, you will:
- Take ownership of job details to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Conduct functional tests using various equipment to ensure accuracy and performance (including electrical, helium, and leak tests as necessary).
- Collaborate with team members to streamline the component processing through the Repair Station.
- Manage parts and work orders within your designated area or across departments as needed.
- Train alongside Certified Repairmen to develop and document Part 145 skills.
Additionally, you will:
- Interpret dimensional measurements using tools such as calipers and scales.
- Adhere to written work instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools as required.
- Familiarize yourself with Part 145 Repair Station regulations.
- Understand the traceability of parts in accordance with Air Agency Regulations.
- Review FAA and customer documentation to comprehend processes and procedures.
- Actively engage in a team-oriented environment that employs lean and 5S methodologies to enhance products and processes.
- Possess basic computer, math, and ERP skills.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Be self-motivated and proactive.
- Achieve all necessary certifications for the department.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Willingness to stand for extended periods.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as per regulations.
- One year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Willingness to work with hazardous materials.
- Open to cross-training opportunities.
- Strong attendance record.
- Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work.
- Commitment to meeting or exceeding job expectations.
- Prior mechanical experience is advantageous.
Compensation Grade
HRLY AVIATION
This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent upon the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
