As a Component Repair Technician at GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation, you will be engaged in the maintenance and restoration of customer-owned engine ignition components, including harnesses, ignition leads, exciters, and speed sensors.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:
  • Take ownership of job details to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct functional tests using various equipment to ensure accuracy and performance (including electrical, helium, and leak tests as necessary).
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline the component processing through the Repair Station.
  • Manage parts and work orders within your designated area or across departments as needed.
  • Train alongside Certified Repairmen to develop and document Part 145 skills.
Essential Duties

Additionally, you will:
  • Interpret dimensional measurements using tools such as calipers and scales.
  • Adhere to written work instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools as required.
  • Familiarize yourself with Part 145 Repair Station regulations.
  • Understand the traceability of parts in accordance with Air Agency Regulations.
  • Review FAA and customer documentation to comprehend processes and procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Actively engage in a team-oriented environment that employs lean and 5S methodologies to enhance products and processes.
  • Possess basic computer, math, and ERP skills.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Be self-motivated and proactive.
  • Achieve all necessary certifications for the department.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as per regulations.
  • One year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Willingness to work with hazardous materials.
  • Open to cross-training opportunities.

  • Prior mechanical experience is advantageous.

Compensation Grade

HRLY AVIATION

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent upon the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
