We are seeking a skilled Medical Coder to join our team at Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute. As a Medical Coder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation, supporting our physicians and practice management team in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute coding clinical notes for a minimum of one specialty, under general supervision.
  • Collaborate with physicians to improve the quality and completeness of documentation of care provided and coded.
  • Provide feedback and documentation advice to physicians, practice management team, and fellow coders.
  • Support and adhere to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in medical coding, with proficiency in various electronic medical record systems.
  • Previous experience with OncoEMR, Mosaiq, EMA EMR systems, and G4 Studio practice management systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and oncology is highly desired.
  • Ability to maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and relevant federal regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a high level of courtesy and professionalism.
