Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the quality of our hot mix asphalt, liquid asphalt, cold mix asphalt, crushed stone, sand, and gravel products. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct regular quality control tests to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local specifications.
  2. Production Support: Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, and provide technical support to ensure efficient production processes.
  3. Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control testing, and communicate results to plant management and other stakeholders.
  4. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance quality and efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control or production role.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certifications and Training: A QCT certification from a NETTCP accredited program, and the ability to obtain any necessary certifications or training.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, with regular exposure to loud equipment and moving mechanical parts. The position also requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and to sit or stand for long periods of time.
