Jewelry Appraisal Specialist

Position Summary: Enhance the profitability of PAL Management, Inc. through expert grading, pricing, and appraising of jewelry, alongside the training of staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and price pre-owned jewelry items.
2. Utilize listing software to catalog items across various online platforms.
3. Ensure accurate data management across multiple sales channels, including titles, descriptions, images, attributes, and pricing.
4. Meet and exceed productivity benchmarks set by the company.
5. Conduct thorough quality control checks on each jewelry piece.
6. Precisely measure and assess diamonds and gemstones in all jewelry items.
7. Analyze product offerings by marketplace to identify opportunities for increased sales and profitability.
8. Create engaging and informative product descriptions.
9. Prepare detailed and professional written appraisals.
10. Effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
11. Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
12. Provide training and educational support to store personnel.
13. Maintain stringent inventory control standards.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the jewelry industry.
• GIA Graduate Gemologist certification required.

Knowledge Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of diamonds, colored stones, and precious metals.
• Familiarity with the fine jewelry second-hand market.
• Experience in jewelry repair processes.
