HVAC and Refrigeration Specialist

The Refrigeration Systems Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems across various retail environments to ensure operational efficiency and minimize product loss while maintaining high levels of partner satisfaction.

• Oversee the maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems for multiple retail sites.
• Conduct repairs on equipment including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices in a safe and efficient manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Establish regular communication with site management to keep them informed of ongoing maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with the site management team to effectively communicate all planned maintenance tasks, including diagnosing equipment malfunctions and addressing any operational deficiencies.
• Provide timely updates on job progress and maintenance activities.
• Proactively check for and repair refrigerant leaks.
• Maintain all assigned assets to the highest standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks on refrigeration and HVAC systems as scheduled.
• Monitor and log refrigerant usage in assigned locations.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety in machine and electrical rooms.
• Communicate with retail personnel to uphold the integrity of refrigerated products.
• Participate in the company's after-hours emergency response program.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Complete assigned equipment inventories.
• Perform additional job-related duties as required.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience with rack systems, display cases, and walk-in coolers.
• Journeyman certification in refrigeration and HVAC systems or equivalent experience.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling (Class I & II or universal).
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to follow English instructions accurately.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
• In-depth knowledge of supermarket refrigeration equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, and plumbing preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Refrigeration Controller Technology, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
• Demonstrated self-motivation and a strong track record in previous roles.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and make sound decisions with limited supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.
• High standards of integrity and reliability.
