Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision:

  • Lead and manage a group of production personnel.
  • Provide training and development for team members.
  • Document and report production challenges to management, including corrective measures taken.

Quality and Safety Management:

  • Educate the production team on quality standards and collaborate with supervisors to enhance safety and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and that personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized appropriately.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Guide the production team in achieving set quotas and operational goals.
  • Assist the sales department with pricing and estimating tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineering on tooling design and implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of manufacturing processes for new products.

Additional Duties:

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure production boards are accurately filled out.
  • Verify that in-process inspections are performed and documented.
  • Facilitate safety meetings at the beginning of each shift.
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalation procedures.
  • Complete incident reports for any safety-related occurrences.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in coaching and mentoring within a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to set and meet daily production targets with precision.
  • Strong understanding of machine production operations.
  • Familiarity with advanced mathematical concepts and precision measuring tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in SolidWorks being a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in punch press operation is mandatory; CNC machining experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an industrial production setting is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Work in a production environment with exposure to various elements.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks and stand for extended periods.
  • Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
