Postpartum Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Postpartum Nurse to join our team at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA. As a Postpartum Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to new mothers and their babies, ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to postpartum patients, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient progress and develop care plans.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire.
  • 1 year Nursing experience.
