**Position Summary**

The Assistant Category Development Manager plays a critical role in supporting the customer's category strategy and providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Analyze category trends and provide recommendations to the customer to inform their category strategy

* Develop and deliver customer presentations to communicate data insights and recommendations

* Support the customer's category modular process with data-driven recommendations and modular drawing

* Lead and track key projects/initiatives for the customer

* Conduct competitive analysis to identify competitor strategies, strengths, and weaknesses

* Identify and track key trends in the market

* Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

* Complete ad tracking for channel/retailers

* May perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

* 3-5 years of category management experience

* Proven ability to work effectively with teams, strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation and relationship building

* Proficiency in JDA space planning software

* Technical skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Category/sales analytics experience

* Consumer products industry experience or background

* Syndicated data experience (IRI/Nielsen scan & panel platforms)

* Customer POS systems familiarity
