About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Surgical Unit team on a PRN basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to pre and post-surgical patients, including total joint replacements, bariatric, orthopedic, and general surgeries. This is a fast-paced and team-oriented environment where you can hone your nursing skills and take the next step toward critical care in a Level 2 Trauma facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Recognize and respond to changes in a patient's condition, including post-op bleeding, pain issues, and post-anesthesia complications.
  • Coordinate patient discharge planning with care providers, patient family, and physicians.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of NH or valid compact state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
