Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO. As a key member of our Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) team, you will be responsible for ensuring our products are safe, reliable, usable, maintainable, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement MIL-STD-1472 compliant system safety programs
  • Perform human factors planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses
  • Brief human factors considerations at technical reviews and as part of the engineering approval process
  • Interpret system requirements, customer specifications, and military standards
  • Prepare internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the Human Factors program
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design
  • Interface with other engineering functions: Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering
  • Manage Human Factors Working Group(s) between key Raytheon and Customer representatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant Human Systems Integration, Human Factors Engineering, or Safety Engineering experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience with DoD Human Factors Programs, e.g., MIL-STD-1472
  • Experience with user interface and user experience implementation in an Agile Development environment
  • Experience interfacing with System Safety Engineering, showcasing execution of tasking involving MIL-STD-882
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Proposals, Engineering Review Boards, System Safety Working Groups
