Orgill is looking for an Assistant Purchasing Supervisor to aid the Purchasing Supervisor in managing replenishment and supply chain activities for designated categories. The Assistant Purchasing Supervisor will play a crucial role in assisting with inventory management and optimization. The ideal candidate will also conduct strategic analysis, track purchase orders, and oversee item activity across various distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support replenishment and promotional orders as needed to achieve financial targets for the category, focusing on service levels, turnover, and managing distressed merchandise.
  • Assist in monitoring SKU productivity at individual distribution centers related to the assigned product category and take necessary actions to enhance inventory performance. Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure proper execution of new items and promotions.
  • May take on replenishment responsibilities as experience allows.
  • Facilitate vendor freight expediting when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or necessary.
  • Maintain regular on-site attendance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with inventory replenishment and data reporting systems.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess facts and make informed decisions.
  • Capability to adapt to various changing situations under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Willingness to travel as required for company-related events.
