Job Summary

This position is located at a US Army base with the Madigan CDC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing minor grounds maintenance tasks, ensuring entrances and exits are free from debris, and maintaining surfaces under playground structures according to safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of tasks involved in the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and related structures, fixtures, and utilities.
  • Ensure children and youth know how to safely evacuate the bus and practice bus evacuation following prescribed procedures on a monthly basis.
  • Document all drills in writing and notify the supervisor of obvious hazards, malfunctioning equipment, damaged materials, and other situations that may impact work operations.
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, and the employee may be exposed to dirt and fumes.
  • Drive outside in all kinds of weather in a controlled traffic environment throughout a military installation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner.
  • Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job.
  • Requires a valid state driver's license to operate a 15 passenger vehicle or a commercial driver's license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a 24 passenger vehicle.
Additional Information

This is a Regular Full-Time position that is eligible for leave accrual and benefits. The employee must be available for duty weekdays, occasional evenings, and occasional Saturdays, depending on mission requirements.
