We are looking for a dynamic Group Exercise Manager to oversee our innovative Group Exercise program at our state-of-the-art fitness facility. In this role, you will:

  • Design, implement, and manage cutting-edge group fitness programs that inspire and motivate participants.
  • Recruit and onboard passionate, knowledgeable, and creative instructors to lead a diverse range of classes.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and class assessments for instructors to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Encourage and facilitate ongoing education by informing staff about local events and promoting group participation.
  • Represent Exos at industry conferences and trade shows for networking and recruitment opportunities.
  • Organize certification and continuing education workshops to foster professional development among staff and expand the network of local instructors.
  • Provide specialty training sessions, such as choreography forums, to enhance team collaboration and skill sharing.
  • Mentor staff and members interested in teaching group exercise, preparing them for certification processes.
  • Secure master classes with renowned instructors and promote additional fee-based group exercise programs to enhance revenue.
  • Develop and manage a successful fee-based Pilates Reformer program, including instructor hiring and scheduling.
  • Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials related to all Group Exercise and Pilates offerings.
  • Monitor class attendance and report monthly statistics to the General Manager.
  • Act as the face of the Group Exercise program by maintaining regular communication with members, soliciting feedback, and responding to inquiries promptly.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience leading successful group exercise classes.
  • A minimum of two years in a management role.
  • Current nationally recognized group exercise certification (e.g., AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NETA).
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Instructors teaching licensed formats (e.g., Zumba) must hold the necessary training and licenses.
  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of modifying exercise programs for high-risk clients, along with a solid understanding of safe versus contraindicated exercises.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
