The Nurse Specialist fosters a culture of Nursing Excellence by educating staff on the 10 Caritas Processes and promoting the integration of caring science into nursing practice.

This role serves as a model for mindful practices and supports the creation of healing environments across all nursing areas.

Regular reviews of Nurse Sensitive Indicators (NSIs), Zero Harm metrics, RN Satisfaction, and Patient Satisfaction data are conducted to guide Unit Based Practice Councils (UBPCs) and departmental leaders in developing improvement strategies.

The Nurse Specialist acts as a leader, consultant, mentor, and change agent to enhance nursing practices throughout the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.

Certification and Licensing:
Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Experience:
A minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience is required.
