As a skilled Manual Machinist, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing process at AnDek Staffing Services. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Precision Machining Technician.
Key Responsibilities- Machine Operation: Set up and operate conventional Lathe and Mill Machines to produce high-quality parts.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
- Tool Selection and Setup: Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, saws, etc.
- Quality Control: Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications and set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
- Maintenance and Cleaning: Maintain and clean machining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Tooling and Fixture Creation: Create tooling and holding fixtures as required to fabricate parts.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 8 to 10 years of related experience and/or training.
- Technical Skills: Must know shop math (Trigonometry) and have training in conventional machining & Precision machine parts.
- Soft Skills: Requires experience with inspection techniques and shop safety.
