We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Senior Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.
Responsibilities- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Assist residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
The Good Samaritan Society offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $29.50, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and work/life balance benefits.
