Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Asphalt Truck Driver to join our team at AA Asphalting, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport asphalt and other materials to various job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle, trailer, and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Safe Loading and Unloading: Load and unload equipment in a safe manner, always utilizing the help of a second person, and ensure equipment is correctly secured on trailers.
  • Safe Driving Practices: Practice safe driving skills in all operating conditions, following all vehicular safety regulations and consistently using spotters.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Recognize mechanical issues as they develop with engine, brakes, and electrical systems and take action when necessary to shut down and secure the machine to avoid additional damage; report maintenance needed and/or any damage to your supervisor.
  • Material Handling: Ensure material is loaded safely and efficiently, and safely transport to job sites and/or plants.
  • GPS Navigation: Follow GPS and get to job sites and to material sources in a timely manner.
  • General Labor Duties: Perform non-driving, general labor duties as needed and/or directed.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A: Must have a valid CDL Class A license.
  • GPS Knowledge: Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.
  • DOT Requirements: Follows all DOT requirements and traffic regulations.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to various worksites.
  • Weather Conditions: Ability to work in all weather conditions.
