Asphalt Driver

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Driver to join our team at AA Asphalting. As an Asphalt Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a dump truck to transport asphalt and other materials to construction sites.

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete a driver's checklist.
• Load and unload equipment in a safe manner, ensuring it is correctly secured on trailers.
• Practice safe driving skills in all operating conditions, following vehicular safety regulations and using spotters.
• Recognize mechanical issues and take action to prevent further damage, reporting maintenance needs to your supervisor.
• Ensure materials are loaded safely and efficiently, and transport them to job sites and/or plants.
• Follow GPS to job sites and material sources in a timely manner.
• Spread and dump gravel efficiently, spotting the truck into a paver and placing material as directed.
• Perform non-driving, general labor duties as needed.
• Provide materials' tickets to your supervisor daily.
• Maintain a clean truck and practice good housekeeping on all equipment.
• Ensure the truck is fueled each night.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, wearing required PPE.

• Must have a CDL Class A.
• Knowledge and ability to use GPS devices.
• Follow all DOT requirements and traffic regulations.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
• Ability to travel to various worksites.
• Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.
