Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodial Services Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and evaluating assigned custodial employees, performing building inspections, and training new employees on DSC equipment and cleaning standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and evaluate assigned custodial employees
  • Perform building inspections and identify areas for improvement
  • Train new employees on DSC equipment and cleaning standards
  • Clean and maintain all college facilities, including classrooms, labs, offices, and common areas
  • Perform floor maintenance, including vacuuming, shampooing, and waxing
  • Clean and disinfect all restrooms, drinking fountains, and other high-touch areas
  • Perform high and low dusting of furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Drive college vehicles to retrieve and return supplies, equipment, and tools
  • Attend and conduct staff safety meetings and training sessions

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of recent and verifiable building cleaning/custodial experience
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Forklift certification within one year of employment

Working Conditions:

The Custodial Services Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
