Job Summary:
As a key member of the LifeBridge Health team, the Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily activities in the Anatomic Pathology section of the laboratory. This individual will supervise and guide personnel under their direction, ensuring that the section operates in accordance with CAP, CLIA, and CLSI standards and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement department goals and procedures in collaboration with the Manager.
- Supervise and guide personnel to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the laboratory remains at the forefront of anatomic pathology.
Requirements:
- Basic professional knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field.
- BS-Medical Technology or Histotechnology degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- CT (ASCP) - Anatomic Pathology Only SBB (ASCP) - Blood Bank only HT(ASCP) - Anatomic Pathology Only.
