Lead Laboratory Professional Opportunity

Renowned as the academic flagship of the University of Maryland Medical System, our Magnet-designated facility is a nationally recognized, academic medical center with opportunities across the continuum of care. We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure optimal laboratory functioning.
  • Direct and supervise laboratory personnel, including selection, training, and quality control of highly sophisticated instrumentation and laboratory equipment.
  • Coordinate communication between laboratory staff and medical and nursing teams to resolve operational issues and ensure effective patient care.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and availability of reagents and consumables.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience as a Medical Technologist, with a minimum of one year of lead worker responsibility.
