About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis, working evenings. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our MRI scanner, obtaining high-quality images, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a supervisor/Manager/Radiologist to obtain quality images using established procedures/guidelines for the safe operation of the MRI scanner.
  • Manage room workflow and facilitate patient care in conjunction with the Magnetic Resonance Supervisor.
  • Review MRI orders for exam and indications, confirming scan protocol and ensuring accurate patient preparation.
  • Perform venipuncture and administer IV contrast agents as needed.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety and ensure proper positioning, coil placement, and protocol selection.
  • Control access to MRI zones and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Perform daily QA on the MRI scanner to ensure optimal performance.
  • Enter accurate charges into the EMAR for all exams and ensure timely availability of exams on PACS for interpretation.

Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
  • Associate's Degree or higher.
  • Current ARRT registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT registration within 1 year of hire.
  • Current BCLS certification.
