Position Overview:
Strata-G is in search of a qualified Waste Management Specialist who will be responsible for ensuring that all facets of client Waste Management (WM) initiatives comply with federal and state waste regulations. Key responsibilities include waste characterization, packaging, storage, profiling, and disposal in accordance with RCRA, TSCA, NRC, and DOT regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage waste streams, including RCRA, low-level radioactive waste, mixed waste, PCB waste, and sanitary waste.
- Develop sampling and analysis plans following EPA guidance documents and SW-846 standards.
- Analyze and interpret laboratory analytical data.
- Prepare and maintain waste disposal profiles for Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSDFs).
Educational Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field, or 8 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience post-degree. A solid understanding of RCRA, DOT, and radioactive waste management concerning the packaging and handling of hazardous, radioactive, and mixed waste is essential.
