Job Summary
SAIC is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Lead to join our team in support of the U.S. Southern Command's Cyber IT Enterprise Services (SCITES). The selected candidate will play a critical role in providing contingency planning, operations, and security operations to Central America, South America, and the Caribbean areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments at the network, system, and application level to identify potential security threats.
- Develop and implement security controls and formulate operational risk mitigations to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security awareness programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies to stay ahead of emerging threats and align with IT security strategy.
- Prepare security reports to regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations.
- Establish and maintain strict program control processes to ensure the mitigation of risks and support the certification and accreditation of systems.
- Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (RMF) and make recommendations on process tailoring to ensure compliance.
- Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and recommend additional security requirements and safeguards to ensure the security posture of the organization.
- Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports.
- Periodically conduct reviews of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed to ensure compliance and security.
- Manage subordinate management and/or experienced specialist employees who exercise significant latitude and independence to ensure the effective execution of cybersecurity initiatives.
- Establish operating policies and procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections and work units to ensure the security and compliance of the organization.
- May be involved in the development of budgets, schedules, and performance standards to ensure the effective execution of cybersecurity initiatives.
- Decisions have an extended impact on work processes and outcomes, requiring strong leadership and strategic thinking.
- Interact frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Lead briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives to ensure the effective communication of cybersecurity initiatives and strategies.
- Cybersecurity planning and policy creation to ensure the security and compliance of the organization.
- Provide oversight and management in the implementation and configuration of vulnerability testing and reporting, network monitoring and reporting, investigations and postmortem analysis, troubleshooting of security and network issues, testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
- Provide Computer Network Defense, Cryptography, Identity Management, Information Assurance, Information Systems/Network Security, Infrastructure Design, Vulnerabilities Assessment to ensure the security and compliance of the organization.
Qualifications
Required:
- BS with 14 years or equivalent experience in cybersecurity and/or a related field.
- Certifications: Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Leadership Certification (GSLC).
- Must Meet IAM III requirements of DoD M.
- Possess one of the following: Top Secret Clearance, 10+ years of experience in network security policy implementation, leading cybersecurity teams with a combination of CND, scanning and compliance, and Risk Management Framework (A&A), and Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) execution, a minimum of two years of experience in a DoD Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) and CORA on IT networks, in the past seven years, as lead or management position.
