Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate a track record of progressively responsible leadership experience indicative of senior-level management capabilities, directly related to the skills and abilities outlined in the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQ) and job-specific Professional Technical Qualifications (PTQ).

Experience typically gained in roles at or above the GS-15 grade level in federal service or equivalent positions in state and local government, private sector, or non-governmental organizations is required.

Specialized Experience:

Applicants must possess executive-level specialized experience that equips them with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this position. This includes experience in:

  • Information technology leadership and strategic planning.
  • IT capital planning and modernization.
  • Stakeholder engagement and collaborative leadership.
  • Workforce development, retention, diversity, and inclusion.

Education:

A major in computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering is preferred, or coursework that involved the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems.

Compensation:

Salary for SES positions varies based on qualifications and may include performance bonuses and performance-based pay adjustments.

Ethics and Conduct:

As an executive branch employee, adherence to the Standards of Ethical Conduct and conflict of interest statutes is mandatory. An introduction to federal ethics will be provided during orientation, and completion of initial ethics training is required within the first three months of employment.
