Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and perform check-in/out procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Follow all cash and credit card procedures required by hotel and brand standard to ensure accuracy and security.
  • Check house count to determine the rooms available for the day and ensure that all rooms are properly assigned.
  • Review credit limit exception report and obtain additional approval if necessary to ensure compliance with hotel policies.
  • Check expected departures for today and clear checkouts or extend stays after check-out time to ensure smooth operations.
  • Update housekeeping room status when received from housekeeping to ensure accurate room assignments.
  • Balance departments from daily activity report at the end of shift to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Perform cashier shift change when cash is in balance to ensure accurate accounting.
  • Explain hotel promotional items to guests and provide them upon request to enhance the guest experience.
  • Mention hotel amenities to guests during lags in phone or in-person conversations to provide excellent customer service.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints and offer alternative solutions to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrate commitment to servicing guests by being hospitable and accommodating to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Document any guest accidents by completing the accident report form to ensure compliance with hotel policies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year hospitality experience required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Experience handling cash and credit card procedures required.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Knowledge of hotel layout, amenities, and procedures required.
  • Knowledge of local geographic area, businesses, and services required.
