Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Public Disclosure Administrative Specialist to support the County Public Records Officer (PRO) with public records requests and public disclosure functions.

The successful candidate will administer and act on behalf of the PRO in matters related to coordinating and carrying out public records request intake, assignment, and fulfillment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and process public records requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist with the administration of public disclosure functions, including record searches and retrieval
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries from the public and other stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure compliance with public disclosure laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, such as records management or public administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced office environment. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will be expected to maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
