About the Role
Beitzel Corporation, a leading industrial construction and service company, is seeking a skilled Operations Technician I to join our team. As an Operations Technician I, you will play a critical role in supporting our field services division, handling various tasks and responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform labor in various areas of the service group, including oil and gas, concrete, aggregate, and energy industries.
- Assist in the rig-up and rig-down process, maintenance activities, and basic rigging duties.
- Recognize and utilize hand tools and industrial power tools safely and effectively.
- Assist with materials handling and storage, and stage tools and materials as required.
- Identify issues and concerns from the field and ensure a positive relationship exists between Beitzel field staff, customers, and division management.
- Alert division management of non-routine issues and repairs or issues that cannot be resolved in the field.
- Assist in coordinating maintenance, repairs, and additional work with customers and division management.
- Provide daily operations updates to operations management.
- Work a scheduled hitch on an assigned location and serve as a point of contact between operations personnel and Beitzel Corporation.
- Prepare time and material (T&M) tickets, receipts, and other paperwork as required.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license required.
- No oil and gas experience necessary.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal direction.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Working Conditions
- Sit, talk, hear, read, and write.
- Walk/use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls/reach with hands and arms/climb ladders and stairs/crawl/kneel/lie down.
- Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Work extended hours and potential shift work.
- Perform duties on-site in all types of weather.
- Breathe effectively while wearing a respirator.
- Wear safety equipment: per OSHA/MSHA requirements including but not limited steel toed and/or metatarsal shoes, hard hat, lanyard, fire retardant, protective eye wear, etc.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. In accordance with The Company's Drug and Alcohol policy, employees are required to participate in random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as requested.
