Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Make Ready Technician to join our team at Penn Apartment Staffing in the Austin, TX area. As an experienced maintenance specialist, you will be responsible for restoring apartments to 'market ready' status by performing various tasks such as checking and replacing lights, repairing windows and doors, and assisting with appliance changes.

About the Role

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that requires strong work ethic, good communication skills, and proficiency in English. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience or similar remodeling experience. A minimum of 2 valid government-issued IDs and a clean background check are also mandatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance duties to restore apartments to market-ready status
  • Check and replace lights, fixtures, and appliances as needed
  • Repair or replace windows, doors, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, baseboards, mirrors, and closets
  • Inspect bathroom tiles and perform minor repairs/replacements
  • Operate carpet cleaning equipment to clean carpets
  • Lend assistance during trash-out of apartment
Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • At least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience or similar remodeling experience
  • Strong work ethic and good communication skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • A minimum of 2 valid government-issued IDs
  • A clean background check
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $45,000-$60,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that this is a temporary to hire opportunity, and the actual compensation may vary based on company policies and location.
