About The Player Progression Academy (PPA):
The Player Progression Academy (PPA) is a leading youth sports organization situated in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. PPA provides extensive athletic programs for youth in basketball, soccer, and futsal. With a vibrant community of over 3000 players, a dedicated team of more than 100 coaches, and an office staff of 20 individuals, PPA is devoted to nurturing player development both on and off the field.

Position Overview:
Become a vital part of our energetic team at Player Progression Academy as a Site Supervisor. We are looking for a passionate individual to manage the seamless execution of our recreational soccer and basketball leagues. As a Site Supervisor, you will be central to the action, ensuring that game days operate smoothly, providing an outstanding experience for parents and players, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of our programs. If you excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have a love for youth sports, we invite you to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Game Day Oversight:
    • Efficiently set up the site/table to facilitate smooth game operations.
    • Maintain game schedules and ensure timely starts and finishes.
    • Address any staffing challenges promptly and effectively during game days.
    • Accurately record and report game scores.
    • Foster a lively atmosphere by ensuring music and positive energy are present.
    • Assist in the execution of special weekend activities such as walkouts, raffles, face painting, team photos, and more.
  2. Customer Engagement:
    • Warmly welcome parents and players upon their arrival at the site.
    • Provide guidance and assistance to parents/players who may need direction.
    • De-escalate any tense situations that may arise between parents, coaches, or referees.
    • Listen to and address parent inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  3. Reporting Responsibilities
    • Promptly file incident reports for any altercations or incidents occurring during your shift.
    • Accurately record and report all game scores to the appropriate parties.
    • Complete a weekly game day recap form for each of your sites.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must be available to work weekends.
  • A passion for youth sports and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences is a plus.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $20/hr - $30/hr based on experience

Hours:
The ideal candidate will have a consistent time block of 4-5 hours between 9am - 5pm on Saturday or Sunday where they can commit to being on site for one of our game days. Scheduling is flexible, so if you have other commitments on the weekend, we encourage you to reach out to discuss options.
