Job Summary:
The Lead Gear Manufacturing Engineer will provide leadership and technical expertise to the gear manufacturing and inspection teams, utilizing engineering knowledge to enhance quality standards for gears and splines.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Offer technical support in Gear Manufacturing and Gear Inspection, with a comprehensive understanding of quality standards for gears and splines.
2. Design hobs, cutters, and grinding wheels.
3. Utilize UTS Gear Engineering software for size calculations, creating DXF files, and designing tooling.
4. Analyze engineering drawings and solid models to determine program requirements.
5. Develop innovative manufacturing methods (DFMA) and maintain NC programs for various gear machining tools.
6. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, safety, and quality.
7. Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure capability in meeting part requirements.
8. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure manufacturability of new product designs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial) preferred, or equivalent experience in the machine trades.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in gear manufacturing is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, UTS Software, and CAD Design software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
