School Age Program Educator

We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of School Age Program Educator.
This position requires flexibility to work during specified hours throughout the week.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - from 5:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of the Site Director/Coordinator, the Educator will be responsible for designing and executing daily activities within the Child Care programs at Kettle Moraine YMCA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to the DCF Wisconsin Licensing Regulations for Group Child Care Centers, along with YMCA Child Care Policies and the Orientation materials.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational plans that foster growth and self-esteem among children.
- Guide and support assistants and volunteers in their roles.
- Ensure a safe and organized environment, which includes maintaining cleanliness.
- Engage with children at their level and supervise to ensure a secure setting.
- Assist in the preparation of meals and snacks.
- Promptly report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
- Welcome and communicate effectively with parents, ensuring all interactions are positive and considerate of both children’s and parents’ feelings.
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with members, participants, volunteers, other staff, and the communities served.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in a supervisory role.
- Educational qualifications must comply with DCF Wisconsin Licensing Regulations for Group Child Care Centers.
- Current CPR/AED certification is preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Must successfully complete fingerprinting, health physical, and TB testing.
- Ability to interact appropriately with children at their cognitive level.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Annual training in Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Capability to engage in all necessary physical activities with children.
