Winter Shipyard Laborer
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laborer to support our shipbuilding operations during the winter season. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient construction and repair of steel vessels. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work and wants to contribute to the repair of high-quality maritime crafts.

Key Responsibilities
This position involves performing a variety of physical tasks as directed, including moving, securing, installing, building, and unloading materials such as steel, dirt, and trash. You will also be responsible for maintaining safety standards and ensuring a safe work environment at all times. Additional responsibilities include assisting with specialized tasks that may require on-the-job training, operating heavy and light equipment as needed, and transporting tools, equipment, and materials as instructed by supervisors.

Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass a drug screen. Previous experience in a similar industry is preferred but not required. Physical requirements include grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, overhead work, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity. Applicants must also be able to conduct inside and outside work in all temperatures and move/lift/pull/push 50 lbs.

Compensation and Benefits
Fraser Shipyards offers competitive pay with excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and life insurance, 401(k) contributions, and paid time off. Estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
