Steel Vessel Construction Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Laborer to support our steel vessel construction efforts. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks as directed, including moving, securing, installing, building, and unloading materials such as steel, dirt, and trash. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and contributing to the repair of high-quality maritime crafts.
About the Job
This position requires a strong work ethic and ability to follow directions. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the safe and efficient completion of tasks. Additional responsibilities include assisting with specialized tasks that may require on-the-job training, operating heavy and light equipment as needed, and transporting tools, equipment, and materials as instructed by supervisors.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass a drug screen. Previous experience in a similar industry is preferred but not required. Physical requirements include grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, overhead work, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity. Applicants must also be able to conduct inside and outside work in all temperatures and move/lift/pull/push 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits
Fraser Shipyards offers competitive pay with excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and life insurance, 401(k) contributions, and paid time off. Estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
