Position Summary:
This role is contingent upon the award of a contract. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will report to the Program Manager and will work under the clinical supervision of the site medical director. The CRNA will be responsible for administering anesthetics to patients undergoing various medical, dental, and surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage supplies and equipment for anesthesia procedures.
- Conduct thorough assessments of pre-surgical tests to evaluate the impact of anesthesia on patients.
- Ensure the availability of adequate blood supply for emergencies.
- Administer prescribed anesthetics and monitor patients' vital signs throughout procedures.
- Perform critical tasks such as inserting artificial airways and administering oxygen.
- Assist in stabilizing patients and coordinating their transfer to medical evacuation centers as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed Nurse Anesthetist.
- Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- US Department of State clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Willingness to relocate as required.
- A valid passport is mandatory and must be maintained during the assignment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in military settings or as a government contractor is advantageous.
- Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is a plus.
Educational Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited nursing program leading to a diploma, certification, or degree.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthetist program in the US resulting in a diploma or master's degree.
- Current, unrestricted U.S. (State) Medical license as a Nurse Anesthetist.
- Certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
