About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Toxic Tort Associate to join our team of talented professionals in a collaborative and collegial environment. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex legal challenges and defend sophisticated clients in toxic tort matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and Reviewing Documents: You will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents related to toxic tort cases.
- Court Appearances: You will attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations to represent our clients.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: You will work closely with colleagues across departments and offices to contribute to a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Caseload Management: You will independently manage a litigation caseload as part of a team, working cases from beginning to end.
- Client Communication: You will communicate with clients and provide status reports on their cases.
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA Accredited Law School: You must have a Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school.
- Admitted to Practice in Washington State: You must be admitted to practice law in the state of Washington.
- Experience in Toxic Tort Litigation: You should have at least 2 years of experience in toxic tort litigation, preferably with experience in asbestos, talc, silicosis, diacetyl, benzene, or related toxic tort matters.
- Strong Analytical and Communication Skills: You must have superior analytical skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
Benefits and Compensation
We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $175,000 USD, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses.
