We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Fairview Health Services.
About the Role:The Medical Laboratory Technician plays a vital role in providing high-quality laboratory services to diverse populations within an ambulatory healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform waived, moderate, or high complexity testing, and correlate data-based knowledge of technical and instrumental conditions affecting testing results.
- Conduct quality control procedures within established parameters and ensure efficient workflow.
- Collect laboratory specimens, handle them safely and securely, and schedule tests as appropriate.
- Work independently under general supervision and demonstrate competency and compliance with all regulatory agency policies.
- Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) approved laboratory certification such as ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician in an integrated healthcare environment.
- Phlebotomy experience and ability to work under stress in a variety of situations.
