As a Supply Chain Associate at Fastenal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting business-to-business operations by administering procurement, sourcing, and quoting functions that meet the needs of our customers and drive the success of their business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage branch inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Administer procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Estimate and quote prices for products, and source materials to meet customer needs.

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work.
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license, and meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle.
  • Possess or be working towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field of study, or have customer service or industry-related work experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficient computer skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented, with strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities, and exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills.
  • Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25-50 pounds, and may weigh up to 75 pounds.
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).
