Key Responsibilities:
As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will:
1. Assess initial loan applications and supporting documentation to determine creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
2. Conduct preliminary evaluations of applicants' credit and income, ensuring accurate communication of decisions to applicants.
3. Clearly convey essential origination timelines, product details, pricing structures, and underwriting prerequisites to all applicants.
4. Make proactive outbound calls to applicants, assisting them in gathering necessary documentation to facilitate the loan process towards funding.
5. Keep applicants informed about suspense, loan approvals, or declines throughout the process.
6. Collaborate with realtors, builders, mobile signers, and other stakeholders to streamline the loan process.
7. Oversee the loan workflow to guarantee timely communication of initial disclosures, re-disclosures due to changed circumstances, and closing documents.
8. Continuously enhance sales and customer service skills through ongoing training.
9. Strive to maximize the number of qualified loans funded each month.
10. Diligently follow up on all leads provided to you, working with a sense of urgency.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

- Experience in financial services and sales, particularly in call center settings.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 2 to 4 years of successful loan origination experience, preferably in residential mortgages.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and regulatory mortgage lending requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products, pricing, and underwriting guidelines.
- Proven consultative sales skills within a mortgage sales environment.
- Experience in high-volume transaction processing with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Education Requirements:
- Must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and have successfully passed the required exams, with a willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
