About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Performance Specialist to join our team in Bangor, Washington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance in our submarine maintenance and repair operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the Departure From Specification (DFS) system for submarines, including establishing and maintaining systems for processing requests, reviewing and evaluating DFS requests, and ensuring submission of form 4790/2K to document DFS required action.
  • Advise and assist the Material/Quality Assurance Officer on matters pertaining to QA, SOC, FBW, and SUBSAFE programs, including organizing and implementing QA programs to carry out the provisions of the JFMM and P-9290.
  • Perform 100% review of Controlled Work Packages before the vessel is allowed to operate, and assist in 3M inspections, fleet maintenance activity, Quality Assurance, and material management assessments as requested.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with the QA program and FMP management practices, and a thorough knowledge of automated modernization information systems applicable to DFS, eDFS, ATIS, VSB, and SHIPALTS and A&Is contractor and installation activities.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in submarine maintenance, IMA, or submarine repair.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI) or ship's 3M Coordinator or monitoring the 3M or QA system while working in a Submarine Material Office (N4 Squadron, FMA, Shipyard or higher).
  • BA/BS Degree.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
